I was failing most of my classes in school, hanging around the wrong type of people and had no direction. I was told I would be a nobody if I continued course and I figured--fuck that and actually started acing my courses and graduated. However, when I was in my early 20s, I was living in LA and broke as hell--barely any money for food and rent and odd jobs in restaurants and stuff like that. Eventually, I worked and networked good enough to propel me into awesome paying jobs. Definitely learned a lot.

At about 35-36. Before then it was all partying and crazy adventures, don't regret a second of it.

Have to say, I've seen a lot of people that grew up too quickly, married with kids in their early twenties, a mortgage, a dog and 2,5 kids...

What's the rush with that stuff? For me, I thoroughly enjoyed being young and free. There's plenty of time for your career, home making and kids later in life. But everyone matures at a different pace and I think the way you grew up also strongly affects what you want to do when you leave your parental home and set out on your own in the world. If you come from a chaotic home you probably desire order and structure, while someone from a boring home might crave fun and games.

In short, don't sweat it. There's plenty of time to try different lifestyles, careers, hobbies and what not in life. Don't worry about what everyone else is doing and listen to yourself instead. If you don't want to get your shit together yet then don't, there's always next year!
