C8 Corvette Wrapped in Matte & Gloss XPEL PPF

This 2021 Corvette C8 wears STEALTH matte finish PPF on its red exterior paint. The owner requested the black trim and exterior pieces be wrapped in ULTIMATE PLUS glossy PPF, and then coat the entire thing with FUSION PLUS ceramic coating.

The application looks great, but I'm so sick of these stealth matte films/wraps/paint. The car loses all the depth and richness that paint can only provide. Without the natural reflections, it makes it look like a hologram...maybe it's just me lol.

IMO stealth/matte wraps only look great in white, but that's just me

I agree. White already looks like a refrigerator, might as well finish the job.

I personally like the XPEL stealth on darker colored cars like black, mineral grey and blue.

Nothing stealth about a Stingray...... especially a red one. The job looks great. I'm also not a fan of any matte finishes on a car - but it's not my car.

I hear ya. Modern wraps can look excellent, hard to pick vs paint, these sort of ghosted ones, frosty, i dunno, screams WRAP.

I think matte wrap can look good but for some reason this looks like old single stage paint that has faded and needs polishing to be brought back.

Oh I know it's popular and it's a great product from Xpel. Personally I'm tired of the trend...one man's opinion though

Not a fan of the matte finish, red looks best when metallic and sparkles in the sunlight.

The OEM options are all pretty terrible. Guess we need to wait for a Z06/GS to get decent wheels. Stupid. I don't really like the C8, but it deserves better.

You'd be surprised how many of our clients request CC on their PPF. Mostly for its hydrophobic properties to help keep the car looking clean.

Workmanship looks good, but the effect makes the car look like it has been plasti-dipped.
