First Look at 2022 BMW G42 M240i Production Unit with HEA II Package

Fresh off the truck. Made a video of our HEA II spec M240i while still in transport mode.

Thx; must admit I’m not a fan of the Brooklyn Gray; looks too dull for me

Anyway noticed a detail. This vehicle has the extended black Shadowline package yet the headlights are not. 2nd video I have seen of M240 like this

Very strange

In Canada, we have high gloss black grill and extended content and we have shadowline headlight option.

No "shadowline package" for us.

Very strange

The Brooklyn Grey looks better in person in person to me. I've noticed that pics and videos sometimes don't highlight how interesting of a color it is.

Looks like the exact same HEA specs as the one my friend is getting.They already put the BMW snow tire wheels on his car.

I would image they are probably the exact same.

So what is your guys' take on Brooklyn Gray in person now that you've seen it? Is it more of a "flat" color, or does the metallic "pop" in the sunlight? My car is BG, but I haven't seen one in person yet.

Deff more flat, not much metallic flakes

Pretty flat. Reflects other colors well. I think it makes the car look more massy, which could be a good or bad thing I suppose.

Those kinds of colours have become very popular but to me it looks like battleship grey or crayon grey. Its nice to see variety out on the road but I couldn't see myself living with one on a daily basis.
