BMW Drive Recorder

Did anyone option the BMW Drive Recorder?

I'm mainly curious if this has a parking mode which would effectively make it a true replacement for a dashcam.

Recording during drives is great but I like the added protection while the vehicle is parked.

I ordered it but my build won't be here till Feb. Not too much info on it but it appears it only records while driving. Looks like you'll still need a dash cam.

Lots of YouTube videos, not going to be very different from other G gen cars.

Agreed, I have it and it's the same as others. I've only used it twice though. Takes a solid 40 second vid (max).
