R.I.P. Meat Loaf
The bat out of hell passed away with only 74 years.
He was a true live performer and a very warm and kind person, had the opportunity to fly with him years ago from Amsterdam to London.

Oh it’s cold and lonely in the deep dark night. May he always have paradise by the dashboard lights. RIP.

RIP, Meatloaf.
The only two CD's that I had in my race car's 6-disc back in the day were "Bat out of Hell" by Meatloaf and "Revolver" by The Beatles. I was at an SCCA National Tour event, and *really* mucked up my Saturday runs. The day wrapped up with me sitting 6 seconds behind the car in front of me in the results, and 6 seconds in front of the car behind me. Basically, I could drive the event of my life on Sunday, and not move up one spot. Long story short, I cranked up "Bat out of Hell" (the song) at the start line on Sunday, and just drove my runs for fun. They had a worker sitting after the finish line telling drivers their run times, and he commented that I looked like the only driver having fun because I pulled up to him playing drums on my steering wheel. Don't be sad, cuz' two out of three ain't bad.....

From the interwebz:
Did Meat Loaf ever say what he wouldn't do for love? For example: "But I'll never forget the way you feel right now, Oh no - no way - I would do anything for love, But I won't do that" - The "that" in this particular verse is "forget the way you feel right now." Meat Loaf said this himself on his Storytellers episode on VH1.” |

I always liked Meat and especially Bat Out of Hell.
Unfortunately, he is more known these days down here for his “performance” at the 2011 AFL grand final. Look if you dare! |

However, its possible that is was not Father Time that got him. I think it could have been Father Time's cousin COVID. I've been reading articles on his anti-vax, anti-mask, and anti-quarantine stance. |
