I ordered mid-November and still waiting for a production number. My CA just called this morning and said production is cranking up and I should get a production week in the next couple weeks. He’s expecting a Spring delivery.

if you ordered a car from a dealer without a specified allocation.. you haven't really bought anything, you are waiting for the dealer to give you an allocation..
when i bought mine in dec, i knew my build week was 5, which is right about now..and my car just went into production.. based on ship schedules, it might be may before i see my car. |

Ya gotta shop around and find a dealer with an allocation, unless you don't mind waiting an extra month or so. Just going to your local/closest dealer and ordering without verifying an actual open allocation is not wise.
When i decided to order a M240 i called around to a number of dealers, only found one (120 miles away) that had a current allocation. Allocation of these are limited, they are not a high volume seller, thus limited allocations. It's usually not a problem with a high demand/high production car, but these are not. |

If the dealer actually has an allocation you should get a production number and build week immediately. You'll get Vin when production starts.
If your dealer doesn't give you a production number and build week, you don't have an allocation yet. |

I also ordered in late December but my dealer had 5 allocations and upon entering my build got a production slot immediately for March. So at this point maybe May or June delivery just in time for summer. They don't have production week but I will know when it goes from status 112 to 150 which they say means it's on the production line. I have no VIN yet also. But I feel you man, been watching videos and looking at pictures of my future car and I am still a month away from production. Hopefully this wait will just make the delivery that much sweeter.
