I've posted some about the timeline for my car. The timeline recap:

9/2 - ordered
2/4 - arrived at dealer
2/5 - picked up from dealer

My car does have everything as ordered, which included all the options. It has ACC, head up display, satellite radio, wireless charging, etc.

I'd included the Cooling and High Performance Tire Package. Don't know if it was from selecting that option or just luck of the draw, but the car has Michelin Pilot S4 tires, which I preferred over the Pirelli PZ4. Something I wasn't expecting is that the car came with nitrogen in the tires. My F22 M240i didn't have that.

My dealer told me end of March or April. I expect April hoping for end of March. From what I have read here my car is a week early in production. I am not holding my breath it will get here when it gets here. There's a track day in middle of May I would like to go to, only if I reached the break in period.

The HP and cooling pkg almost guarantees the PS4S

All the other wheel options for the most part either get Bridgestones or Pirellis based on the if they are all seasons, perf rft or perf non-rft

Ordered.. but just a request.. had to trade for an allocation.. that
doesn't enter production till week 8/10.. so really can't count till allocation enters week of production
that's enter P week of 8 or 10 of year 2022

I was given an estimate of end of Feb to early March for mine and if I stay on this pace and track it looks like I might get it sooner as long as it makes it onto the ship leaving Altamira at the end of January.

Wow this is very quick pick up. I put in my order on 2/1 and my dealer told me I'd probably get it in May 😌. Is there any way to get allocated sooner than later? Does the color or options chosen matter?

I'm not sure honestly, I called to every dealer within a 2 hour drive from me and none had an allocation other than BMW Annapolis, I think the allocation was already scheduled for build and everything and they just modified it for me.

Allocations are not made according to orders. Allocations are assigned to dealers based on past performance/anticipated model availability etc. Any dealer can order you a car, but they may not have an allocation currently for it and will have to wait/hope for one to be assigned. You need to find a dealer with a current open allocation that is not filled. Shop around, i had to contact a number of dealers to find one with an open allocation that could be filled. Don't take a dealers word that they expect one soon....find one with an actually open/not filled allocation. Sounds like your dealer did not have an allocation and was/is hoping to get one in the future. These cars are limited in allocations.

Short answer to your first question....YES.
I would find a dealer with a verified open allocation and cancel what you have going with your current dealer.

And to answer your last question, NO, color or options do NOT matter relative to allocations, options MAY matter relative to how long the build takes in case one of your options is for a shortage part, a good dealer would know that.

m2401 ordered October 25, arrived at dealer February 1, picked up February 6. Sat for a week waiting for radio module at Oxnard. Relieved to see the all options and standard features are included (except passenger seat width and lumbar support), including H-K audio, head-up display, XM satellite radio, and touch screen. So far, the wait has been worthwhile! A great ride!

Sounds like ours were on the same boat. Did you have a "stop sale" for the RAM? My order is still in Bayonne.

Mine took roughly 2 months (about what i expected), just got word it arrived at dealer:

Ordered 12/1/21 (dealer had open allocation)
Production started 12/6/21
arrived at dealer 2/8/22

Mine did have a 10 day delay at VDC for RAM module. Most of the overall time involved in getting the car centers around transportation, waiting for a ship, shipping time, waiting for a truck for overland transport, and overland transport (which took 9 days to travel 980 miles, probably had a number of dealer stops?)

Anyway i will pick it up tomorrow:
Dunno if it helped but i ordered only a few options and did not order the Prem package.

Is there a way I can do a change order in My BMW site or must I go through the dealer. If I can make a change, how. I am in the production begins stage and want different seats.
