I did get PPF installed locally for front bumper, full hood and black side skirts.. that cost me $1,100 but well worth it.. XPEL w/10 year warranty
Would love to see some new pics! My build on order is pretty much the same as yours. I'll have xpel done soon after I get the car home, but I'm debating on whether to have the detailers do ceramic or do it myself.

Professionally done on new car shouldn't be too bad for cost - but DIY with a high silicon content product on new paint is easy enough - worth looking in to

I will being doing a full PPF this time around. I had all my last 3 cars done with ceramic and depending on where you live I don't find the protection against swirls and ease of wash any better than normal wash and wax.

I paid 2K AUD for Autotriz on my Stinger and after 2 years my car looks swirled like its never been washed on a single bucket treatment I was going to pay to get it redone but was told it would need to go to a panel beater and wet sanded off before stage 3 correction Cost nearly 4K AUD the lot.

Full PPF is around 6K Aud where I live and should protect the car from light swirls with the self-healing properties.

For the record, I live in a high dust area with new housing developments and semi country area car is under cover in a car port and lives outs side for work.

After taking this thread into consideration, I opted to do the dealer installed ceramic coating. My package was the exact same as OP at $1,495 and 6 year warranty. I was told by my CA that it even covers exterior wheel damage and even interior damage to the leather and hard surfaces. Basically, if your seats begin to develop abrasion, or rips, they will completely reupholster it free of charge. This sold me because I am the type of person who would wear blue jeans in a white interior, so it made sense to have this protection covered by the dealer..

The ceramic coating was completed in house while I completed the paperwork for the sale. They started the ceramic coating right away and was completed about 90 minutes later. It was actually really convenient to have it done right then and there since it simplified the process and didn’t require me scheduling ahead at a third party detailing shop. Time will tell how well the coating holds up but so far I am really impressed with the results. As of writing, My impression is that this was a really good deal.. I’ll post a follow up to this once the coating is fully cured and have more experience with washes and wet weather.

90 minutes to do ceramic coating? Lol. Either they didn't prep your paint at all, or that's not real ceramic coating. The fact that it covers the interior and wheels makes it even more suspect to be one of those shady dealer protection packages. Do you even know the name of the product they used? It sounds like 100% bullshit.

I second this.

They had to have skipped paint correction entirely, and even then, 90 minutes sounds way too quick. Seems more like they applied a ceramic topper spray and charged you $1500 for it.

They probably did a paint correction, prepping the car when they received it.

Just did a very clean mustang. Clay barred, 3 stage paint correction. And ceramic coating. Including wheels and calipers. Took me about 18 hours in labour.

Sounds like whatever service they provided, it likely wasn't proper ceramic coating despite costing the part.
