I'm not sure why only an ICE is a true M. EVs are clearly capable of extraordinary acceleration and maybe this is better viewed as a new age of more impressive performance.
I'm not dismissing the fact that it is a genuinely huge change. And although I'm deeply concerned about climate change, I too will miss the rasping growl of an ICE. At the end of the day, this is an important and necessary shift and so long as there are enough driving enthusiasts, will have performance vehicles being made powered by EV motors, flux capacitors, or whatever. Let nostalgia give way to optimism for a new era of high performance. |
