Just picked my 230i yesterday and boy is it fun. Traded in my 2022 WRX after 1500 miles and 1 month of ownership. I had equity in the car and wasn't impressed with it's performance.

First BMW (had a mini cooper s before) and I have a couple questions for yall.

First, would the wheels I took off my WRX fit the 230i? They are Aodhan AH-X 18x9.5 +35. I would love to run them as a winter set and keep the staggered set up for summer. Not sure about fitment, but I wanted to ask. Oh, and it's a 5x114.3 so I am pretty sure I would need a hub adapter.

Second, JB+ vs JB4....I know its a highly discussed topic, but is it worth it on the B48? If so, which would you pick.

Lastly, the kidney grill on the car has some chrome trim on it. Is it possible to pop out the chrome part of the grill and replace it, or am I looking at replacing the entire grill? I like the all black one https://www.getbmwparts.com/oem-part...ItMGwtbDQtZ2Fz, but if I could pop out the chrome portion and just paint it, I think that could be easiest.

Congratulations on the new car!

Oddly enough, in July of 2020 I ordered a WRX limited in manual with almost every option. I took delivery in September, put 15k miles on it and in July of 2021 I traded it for my current F30.

I agree completely, the car was slow as hell and a pain to drive. It was so loud inside also. It just felt janky.

I'm glad you got into a new car. Now I'm sure my F30 330i is faster than my WRX was. Is your 230i faster?

The 22 WRX was odd. Super short gearing with 6k redline. I had the 2nd -> 3rd shift before 60mph. So 0-60 times weren’t the best. It did pull nicely from 40-70 but the short gearing had me constantly rowing through gears. At the end of the day, that car modified would be a hoot. But I’m happier with some comfort, refinement, smooth and reliable power.
