Awesome! Looking forward to the updates!

I'm so pumped for this news! When you get a chance could you list a part number or link to what you ordered?

WANTED: Owner in Atlanta, Georgia USA - Stealth Hitches Fabrication

God bless you! I would think a G20 3 Series hitch would mount on the frame since it's the same platform, it's just the receiver portion that needs to line up with the under bumper cutout.
I have an F22 model from my previous M240, and considered trying to mix and match with the 3 series model. If KmtbS is around Long Island, NY I'd be happy to provide it as an alternate receiver portion to try for a good fit.
Then StealthHitch doesn't need to develop anything, just use their stock parts.

Hitch is installed!!! There are 2 modifications that are required. 1- cut 1-1/2" off each tab on main support (see photo). 2- the accessory block sits 5/16 too high so the bolt holes need to be ovaled out (huge pain in the ass) to allow it to mount lower. There is a good I tube video for a 3 series that helps with bumper removal. The hitch I ordered was for a 21 3 series

Try uploading them on imgur.com.

Have you told Stealth Hitches what you did? Maybe there's a chance they'd be willing to modify the 3 series hitch and sell it separately for the 2?

Any followup on pictures? I am intrigued but unwilling to commit without seeing pics.

For clarification, did you oval out the accessory block bolt holes on the hitch or the aluminum accessory block itself? I would assume the hitch side but wanted to make sure I have a clear understanding of the mods you made.
Thanks.

Hitch install

I wonder instead of using a Stealth hitch (I've had them on multiple vehicles and like them) we could use a Curt hitch like I did on my 2017 M240?

Granted you have to make a slight cut in the diffuser, but it's really not that noticeable and you would gain a bit of ground clearance compared to the Stealth.

I used this post when I received my M240 to get my hitch installed: https://www.2addicts.com/forums/show...1182886&page=3

And sorry for the orientation of the pics... kinda rushed this AM.

The issue is that the G42 2 Series is a different frame than the F22 2 series, so the hitch mount bolt holes are in different locations as well as the receiver location dimensions. I have not checked if Curt makes a hitch for the G42.
Regardless, I may go the route of KmtbS and modify a StealthHitch for the G20 3 series, since it is the same frame.

I finally bailed on the hitch mounted bike rack for now and bought the BMW roof rails, a Yakima High Road roof rack and a big orange traffic cone. Traffic cone lives in the garage right next to my bike and gets put in the middle of my garage when I pull the car out to load the bike.
Loading is not too bad with the car being so low.

That said, just before I decided to go this route, I contacted Torklift Central in Washington state, who has a rack similar to Stealth Hitches, about getting one of their hitches custom fit and they indicated they would be happy to make an estimate if provided photos of the underside of the car. I did not follow through as I went a different route but if anyone in the Washington area is interested, give them a call.
