Which site are you going to for that figure? Oddly enough, it seems like we're all over the map based on the site I go to.
https://smartasset.com/investing/inf...tor#Ad37VmQby1 says its $64K (2019 to 2022) but you're right, going to https://www.usinflationcalculator.com/ brings it up to $70K. Regardless, I think the MSRP will be around $64K.
I think the one thing we can agree on, this is some BS. We all hate prices going up.

I'm hoping that pricing on the lower number cars don't equate to high number cars. Maybe there's some economies of scale that can push prices down on 2 series cars rather than 4 or even 8 series. Lol, i think i'm just praying i don't have to shell out all this money on something I want.

That smartasset one is way, WAYYY off. It basically has inflation at 1-2% a year since 2019

I used this one https://www.usinflationcalculator.com/,

but the official Bureau of Labor and Stats site actually has it at $72,000

You and I both, but I have a breaking point when I'll just walk away. I don't know what that is yet, but I will when the time comes to pull the trigger.

I figure:
MSRP: $64,500
Carbon Seats: $3,500
Carbon Roof: $1,200
Executive Package: $2,000
That alone is over $70K, which is a really big bump over my F87C at $62K.
So where does that get us?
Thread Hijack!
If the G87 with some light options is over $70K+, are you still a customer?
I am. This is going to be my last "sports car" before I make the switch to electric so I am going to check off most of the boxes. Just have to decide if I am going to want an M2 or some other sports car.

That's nice fluffy stuff from the BMW Directorate of Communications.

But, as I was pointing out: when the now discontinued M2 started rolling off the lines in 2015, much of the plant, including the 2 series line, had not been updated. One example....the paint booth, which did not allow for individual colors. As the years progressed, BMW invested in the plant, but TOO LATE for many options for the M2.

So we HOPE that the brand new and expansive Mexico footprint will give us the options that the future G87 buyer deserves!

What was the excuse for the black only interior on the F87? It had absolutely nothing to do with Plant Leipzig.

I would not get one’s HOPES up at launch, especially in regards to individual paint. We will see various items SOP at later dates.

$64,500 msrp for base G87 puts premium for M4 at about +16%. Traditionally it has been over 20% difference. $61,950 for base G87 seems more realistic. MY23 base M4 msrp is $74,700.

MY21 M4 base - $71,800
MY23 M4 base - $74,700

BMW prices have increased about 4% since launch of G82 and the last year of F87.
