230 Vs M240 Exhaust sound?

Just like with previous generation BMW's, the M240 has a MUCH more aggressive exhaust note. It this just due to a different system, or does it have more to do with the engine.

Also, is there a possible upgrade option?

Lol a 6-cylinder will always sound better than a 4 banger. Just like 400 horsepower will always feel better than 200 horsepower 😉
