Saw an R8 yesterday

I was at Bimmerworks talking with Steve (the owner) when a customer came in to get a set of lost keys from one of the rental cars. He told her to take the 335i and she said "No, it's too slow." She left and I asked what she had and Steve said she has an R8. I thought he was talking about the Z8 he had parked in front of his garage, but he said no, it's the new Audi R8. We all pressed our noses up to the windows to see the PHAT silver R8 as she left! I know that car has essentially the RS4 engine, but that car did NOT sound like the RS4. It sounded like an unmuffled race engine that just screamed when she took off.

VERY COOL CAR!

Sorry, no pics as I didn't find out until she'd left. I had my freaking camera too

hey im from boston but steve @ bimmerworks is the best ever we had a radiator mishap on my roomies M3 and steve stayed till 10 pm to get it all done!! we just slept over my boys house in West chester! great shop though im going back there in a few months with my roomie and we are having both cars done up a little bit exhaust and chips

+1 op on the sound....R8 is a totally different animal(sound) compared to a rs4....Not that the RS4 is bad soundin. But R8 is like a better version of it.

I saw a black one on the road today. It was right in front of me and man that thing sounds and looks MUCH better in person.
