Well I've actually answered my own question. I'm ordering a Maverick 2.0 AWD Max Tow next week when the dealer banks open. Orders supposedly will start coming in sometime in November so I'll just hang on until then.

FYI - I am currently arbitrage Maverick's and Bronco's. The order bank opens again on August 15th for 2023 models, but realistically, you are looking at a 18-24mo wait unless you are at a high allocation/low order volume dealer.

Keep in mind that Ford is producing about 9,000 Maverick's a month right now and there are still about 140,000 reservation holders that haven't received their vehicle yet from 2022. Simple math.

I have 4 incoming late 2022 to early 2023 that will be for sale (private sale, I am not a dealer), but they won't be at MSRP.

The Santa Cruz is so much better than the Maverick in every possible aspect, maybe with the exception of the more controversial, non-traditional looks. That 2.5T/DCT combo is outstanding, I have the same powertrain in my Sorento.
