I tried sitting in the back of mine last night. Leg room is tight but headroom at 5ft 10 was just about okay. If my wife who’s 5ft 3 was driving I’d probably be quite comfortable in the back

Brilliant, thank you for your input…I’m now thinking it would be perfectly fine as a family weekend car until the kids reach their late teens!

That sounds reassuring, with my wife being 5ft exactly and my 10 year old probably going to be around that 5ft 10 in 6 or so years, I’m guessing he should be fine sat behind my wife in the car. And with my youngest being only 5 years old, we’ve probably got plenty more years to enjoy the car.

I am around 5'9" and my wife is exactly 5 foot. We considered a Porsche 992 and although the rear seat space is sufficient right now, as our children grow, i dont think it would suffice. Im currently looking at the G80 M3 or the G87 M2 as a long term car until the kids are teenagers. I want something fun but also agile and not heavy (like the M3).

For those whom own the M240i, what is it like as a family car? I'd primarily be using it on weekends.
I've had multiple people over 6foot sit in the back and only complaint is head room. Kids would have plenty of feet and head room for sure.

I have my 5 month old behind the passenger seat in a Nuna Pipa car seat and base. Passenger seat has to be scooted way up to get the car seat in and out, but once in place, it's still super tight. My 4'11 wife sits behind me in the back w/ the baby.

I’m guessing as my children are older, their seats/boosters won’t be that much of a problem. We’ve tried the Porsche 992 and it is so bad behind there it’s not even remotely practical but I’m hoping the new M2 will be far more appealing.

Nice, seems like there is a reasonable amount of space back there!

Your kids will be fine.

Had a 77-year-old woman (5/6 or 5/7) in the back in my M240i and she said she was perfectly comfortable.

At a certain height and for longer trips (depending on the person), it’s just not going to be as comfortable as a 4-door sedan.

The front seat is slow to move but gets there.

100% why I didn’t take the electric seats. With my kids in the back daily, the manual seats are soooo much better

In this review, the guys stated that he’s around 5’10” and he could easily fit in the rear behind himself! I guess that indicates there is plenty of room for teenagers in the back:
