Is the hood supposed to be perfectly flush when it closes?
I just noticed it looks like theres a little "overhang" (basically mm) on the middle third of the hood. The left and right are perfectly aligned, but at the same point from each side, it seems like there is some overhang on the middle part. Do I need to make hood alignment changes or is it supposed to be like this?

it's most likely slight defects from the factory... my passenger side has a smaller gap than my driver side, but the middle gap is perfect. it's kind of disappointing considering this is a BMW... I expected this inconsistency from Tesla

First time bmw owner coming from Mopar/dodge Chrysler products i would say they are pretty good but idk if it was because my 22 m240 was a first production car back in late August 21 or what but looking in the trunk I noticed a lot of overspray, also my hood is slightly more over to the driver side

With some of my cars the hood (front trunk lid for the cars had a mid engine rear engine location) the lid panel leading edge was slightly lower (<2mm) than the bumper cover which was just in front of the lid. I read posts of some owners who felt this was wrong and adjusted the leading edge of the lid to be flush. Wind noise was the result. Pic of my 230i's hood.... |
