I forgot to mention I'll also fit an exhaust once there's a few more options available. The G series is a great platform to modify. Porsche are the next logical step but they are in a different price category and also a different lifestyle, my bmw I drive to get the groceries, park anywhere, don't worry about it but love it all the same. The 911 is like my R34 GTR, I have to choose my routes and car parks a bit more carefully. |

Test drives on a G8X are hard to come by. Local dealers just started posting M240's for sale on their lot... there's a few of them within 100 miles, so I am hoping I can get a test drive going with one of those at least. This Friday I am going to a BMW driving event that is supposed to have M cars to drive, and I assume they will have an M3/M4 to try out. Would be ideal if they had both M4 and M240 and I explained my situation and they let me compare the two. |

I would never tune any new BMW due to warranty. So buying the best car I can for the money would be important. If its between a tuned M240 or stock M3/M4 I would go the the M3/4.
If I didn`t care about warranty I would buy a M240i put new rims, tires, exhaust and tune it over getting a M3/4. For what you get its a better deal in this situation. If you ever had a powertrain failure the cost difference would go away though |
