Hello everyone,

Does anyone have a good quality Sunshade that perfectly fits the M240i?

BMW doesn't have an OEM one for this model, and I don't want to just order an off brand, and hope that it fits. Especially for $60+..

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Man I would be pissed! The dealer asked me like 5 times if I wanted to plate installed since it's illegal to not run one in Colorado but I can't stand those 2 holes in the bumper.

  • Adjust the eq on the HK system
  • 30% ceramic window tint
  • Modest lowering springs / spacers
  • M Performance Spoiler
  • Knock-off front/side lip kit (Auto ID?)
  • CAI for sound (likely Dinan at this point)
  • All-weather floor mats
  • Winter wheel/tire set (it snows in Chicago)
  • Strut bar (or some suspension upgrade)
  • Carbon paddle shifters?
  • Black badging?
  • Bavsound subwoofers if needed
  • Modest tune after warranty (Dinan or Carbahn)

Will dealers install the CF spoilers or are you guys finding custom body shops to do this? I just don't trust myself it'll be done correctly.

Also what kind of quotes is everyone getting for full PPF?

If it's the M Performance CF spoiler, they'd probably install it. If it's someone else, like TRE, probably not.

For my M240 I was quoted the following:

Full Xpel Fusion PPF(this is a new product with ceramic coating on the film already, 5 year warranty on coating, 10 year warranty on film)

$7200

Full Xpel Ultimate Plus PPF (regular, no ceramic, 10 year warranty)

$6100

Where in the country are you located? Don't have to be exact if you don't want to share but it seems like prices being quoted vary wildly depending on where you are.

A question for understanding: Is it not possible to configure the original tinted BMW windows when ordering in the USA?

Not that I know of. I thought the shadow line package tinted the windows a bit but I was wrong.

After dealing with all of the order delays, figuring out ceramic/PPF, tracking ships, and now deciding whether to buyout and sell my x2 lease or just turn it in…

What's the first thing I'll do? Sit in the drivers seat, take a deep breath, and possibly (probably) shed a tear. Lol

I know I have read on a thread previously that BMW uses a glue to attach the spoiler. I don't know if its true as I never verified but something to keep in mind as I would never want glue on my paint. I will be using 3M automotive tape that was recommended on here.

i swapped out my spoiler yesterday. if they used glue it was some kind of weird foam glue that looked a lot like 3m tape. either way. it was pretty easy to get off with some googone and a plastic razor blade.
i tried using an eraser wheel but it was too scary.

I meant the OEM carbon one if he wanted it installed after the fact. Could have just been a specific dealership the person was talking to as well. Glad yours was an easy process . When my car gets its PPF done the shop will be installing the OEM spoiler. I love the look it gives the car.

oh yeah putting on the OEM carbon spoiler i definitely used the 3M tape. I was also going to have the shop install the spoiler and black badge when i have it in for tint and ceramic but they were going to charge me like 150 bucks to do it. i spent 10 bucks on tape and 15 on eraser wheel. whole process took about an hour and thats because i was going to slow so i didnt scratch the clear coat. was worth the 125 dollar savings imo.

I use the BMW one from my F22. 95% fit. I'm ok with that.
