Cost of spoiler install?

How much should I be expecting to pay for a removal of the standard spoiler and adding the CF spoiler?

Most Shops would probably just charge an hour of labor. Its just removal of 3M tape and applying the new spoiler.

Probably an hour or two. BMW will use the OEM glue FYI which is basically almost impossible to remove without leaving a mark if you ever change your mind. I'd use automotive 3M tape it's really secure
(I did as well)

I recommend automotive 3M specific tape. It's red and labeled accordingly. It's like $20 a roll. Also make sure you use 3M adhesive promoter as well so it bonds to the spoiler better.

I have heard that using thin fishing line is a good way of removing adhesive.

Good way of removing badge, but some adhesive will still need to be removed - typically. an adhesive remover or other solvent.

Bmw wanted to charge me 130 eur for the install and another 59 eur for their glue kit 🫠😂

Took me about an hour to remove the oem spoiler and clean the trunk by hand and put the new spoiler on.

Piece of cake and cost me 9 eur for some tape

Honestly, I wasn't a fan of the tape. the spoiler doesn't have lots of surface area to attach to due to its smaller contact patch. If the back or inside of the spoiler was solid and easier to connect to the trunk lid than I would feel better about it. My 94 nsx spoiler was far more simple than this. Then again, this is mostly a cosmetic thing.

Definitely do it yourself. This isn't like swapping a transmission or replacing a clutch where you need a lift and specialized tools/knowledge, it's s a very basic DIY mod.

I just did it myself. spent like 10 bucks on 3m tape and 15 bucks on an eraser wheel. took maybe 1.5 hours and i was going super slow because i didnt want to damage the paint. was pretty easy to do honestly.
