I agree. Out of all the pictures I took, I think these captured the car and the color fairly well. I also agree the bi-color wheels with the raw aluminum accents adds good contrast to the total look instead of the all black wheels.

Agreed. Camera on my phone kept going crazy trying to focus on it. Still though, I think in terms of what I saw in person, its washed out and hides the lines of the car a lottle

Interesting that you mentioned this. Out of all the cars I took pictures high speed on the track, this car was the hardest one to acquire quick focus on. Kind of an enigma.

ZB color is growing on me. I was leaning TR in case I can't get my custom color (confirmed not possible on launch unless they change their mind).

We do see my preferred custom color first choice on one the M4 in the pix of this thread (U94 FO).

I wish there was a blue offered similar to Misano as I would be greatly more inclined to order it.

What a difference from leaked photos. Yes, it doesn't show the body lines as well as Toronto red, neither does BG, AW or BS. To me, BG is too static, black I'd a maintenance pain, white I've had three white cars in a row, so that leave Toronto Red of Zandvoort Blue. Think I must see both colors in person before deciding, especially ZB from folks reaction in person.

I definitely would not order either one, TR or ZB without seeing them in person.

Sensible. Personally, I am going for it and if and when they allow Individual Custom colors, I will get a new one later in the production cycle.

The chance of seeing TR and ZB in person in my small market is slim. I am debating between the 2. There is a part of me that BMW Canada will allow Individual from the start (possible naive optimism).

I just checked the German site (https://www.bmw.de/de/neufahrzeuge/m...ten.html#tab-0), and it has 1775kg as the weight of the manual, only 5kg ligher than the base G80, which makes no sense since the M2 is much smaller.
I've been saying since this first came up that M4 and M2 weight would be close (even when shouted down) but I will also say the changes in standard content across the models and regions could be impacting the figures. Not sure how a moon roof impacts the figures for instance. Or the 19/20 standard wheels. It may be that the typical spec'd M3 actually weighs more than the base figure being cited while the M2 has them already included.

F87(S55) and F82 were 20kg difference on press release weights. M2 was never drastically lower in weight.

If a moonroof is standard in US, that is a 40+lbs weight penalty for US models. The 18/19(M4 base) vs 19/20 wheels/tires is a decent chunk of weight.

824M

9.5x18 ET20: 9.8 kg / 21.6 lbs
10.5x19 ET20: 11.1 kg / 24.5 lbs

825M

9.5x19 ET20: 11.0 kg / 24.3 lbs
10.5x20 ET20: 12.3 kg / 27.1 lbs

Steel slick top is standard for US

The average sunroof cassette with glass used to weigh 75-100+ pounds. No clue what they weigh today. I doubt they have gotten any lighter.

Plus larger tires are heavier. That could be 100 lbs on just those items.

And it is unsprung weight which quadruples in impact on handling.

I think there are plenty of choices that would maybe work better. Isle of Man Green, Thundernight, Marina Bay Blue...

I know the M2 color choices are limited, which it is what it is, but I think the previous F87C color palette was much better. Long Beach Blue and Sunset Orange are better colors than ZB IMHO.

I believe you that the car looks better in person and I think I could live with the front end maybe even like it… but be honest now, the rear end looks like it has aids and is dying.

I’d love to know how that could look any better ha ha.
I am teasing you please don’t get upset. I say this in a totally harmless way. The m2 rear end is whack.
