Creaking from cup holder area/rear seat area

Hey there, as the title says, my M240i has started rattling/creaking in the cup holder area as well as what sounds like the rear roof in the back passenger area. Has anyone run into this? Is this something I can bring into a BMW service center without appearing crazy over?

For the rear rattle, I heard the same which I though was in the rear center. It turned out that an Isofix plastic cover was loose, might be worth checking out.

My new M240 has also a rattle, kind of deep, on the right rear side on the car. Like in the headliner or by the fuel cap area in the trunk. You can hear it on uneven roads like 30 to 50 mph. Does it sound familiar to you? Did they manage to fix it at BMW? thanks.

I think I have similar as you but hard to tell. I feel like I am hearing voices lol. I was wondering how I could even document as I can’t say for sure where it is

I was thinking of beginning a thread with reporting of glitches, issues encountered, etc... /

I have taken pictures and made recordings to try and document some of the minor "issues".

Will check if one is up and running first.

Thanks PP3121. That new thread would be very useful to save time for us and BMW to find the root of the problems and how they were fixed in other cases. We can't expect ANY car/brand to be perfect!

There does not seem to be a more appropriate location within the forum for the thread, so I will create it in "General Topics."

My 22 has had what sounds like a loose piece of plastic from the rear area that taps a little bit when the rear dampers go up and down. I notice it all the time as I'm dialed into it now but it can be easily drowned out by the stereo. It is most noticeable between 30-40MPH and sport mode but always there. I took it to my local BMW dealer yesterday and took a test drive with a mechanic and he heard it too and thought it might be something in the suspension. How did people with this get it fixed? Any pictures or service reports super appreciated. My car is scheduled to go in next week but would like to give the dealer some ideas. It looks like they had not encountered this yet and would rather avoid them pulling apart the rear end if possible.

Following. I picked up my 2023 M240i last week and noticed the same rattle that seems to be coming from the rear but can't narrow it down much more than that.

I thought that maybe the rear seat had been folded down and then not fully clicked in when put back but wasn't the case.
