2023 red volume/start button question

For those with 2023s, has anyone tried changing the buttons to the red ones? Was wondering if they are the same part as the 2022s.

Thanks

I had purchased one for the '22 before I knew the shifter was being changed, as well as the volume button forgetting that ID8 was different. I should be picking the car up this weekend so we will see.

Is there any way of removing the old button without damaging it by taking the trims off?

The old button comes out undamaged using the glue stick method

I've pulled mine out twice and it is undamaged. I guess there's a possibility that the silver glue could break loose. But would you actually ever reuse your old button once going red?

You are the first person I've heard say that; most just have a problem getting the glue stick to hold well enough to withstand the sharp tug it takes to remove the button.
