Yours looks awesome!

I still miss my F31 and wish we could have had an I6 wagon here in the States.

Yeah, so I 1000% agree with this! These kids are making pretty good coin right out of College and so that 23-30 demographic is a sweet one. Hence, the BMW focus of appeasing them.

I’m just wishing they wouldn’t completely abandon the older demographic.

Agreed. I hope that at some point more appealing colors become available for the G87 M2. That's a sexy body (despite what the salty haters say) that deserves better color options... !

The Civic Type-R is no luxury sport coupe and not in the same class with it's 43K sticker price. But for what it is in it's category, they made a nice car this year. Too bad it's not RWD.

Even Honda managed to make a rear door that fitted the fender without leaving behind ugly edges and awkward eyesore shapes. But I understand. BMW doesnt have Honda’s money or reputation…

I hate to say it but BMW seems to be deliberately feeding me right into the hands of Porsche

That’s funny how they still try to keep the car secret after official announcement.

Me and my girlfriend even sat in the car and took a bunch of photos weeks ago.

How did it feel for your height and size? Did anyone try to sit in the back seat?

I did, I am 1.86m/6.1ft tall and with the driver's seat in my position I had very few cm of legroom and grazed the roof with my head.
It's not a spacious car in the back, but I think with the carbon seats there is a few extra cm for the legs.
I could do it for a short trip, not for a long journey, but rear space is not something I look for in such a car.

In the photo above you see the all black standard seats.

Edit: apparently they are carbon buckets but missing the highlights on the upper portion?

It was, I meant that compared to the M240i with M-seats i tested few months ago there is probably a few more legroom, nothing sensational but still something.
But next to the 3-series the rear legroom and headroom is considerably less.

why are they so secretive about a car the whole universe has seen already?! Strange and comical.

Minus the front grill (there are solution for that). I love the car. Too bad we can't get it in Canada. No more BMW touring here.

Same in America. But the grill has grown on me, and the aftermarket one is fucking sick imo

Agree, at least in those photos the M3-T looked long and bloated, like an M hearse. And I usually love my German sport wagons. The blue one at the Essen show looked fantastic in photos though.

The Cayman gt4 is still 25-30k more though I believe. But power to weight definitely edges on the gt4. Plus the chassis is so balanced. I am waiting on a gt4 rs allocation (whenever that is)
But yes when the new m2 is available it will replace the m240i.

Base price for the M2 in Canada before taxes and fees is CAD$76K, GT4 is CAD$126K, but both moderately optioned are about CAD$90K (USD$67K) for the M2 and CAD$150K (USD$111K) for the GT4, due to the more limited base options on the GT4. It is easy to build a GT4 with lots of options to be more than double the price of a fully optioned M2, though.

So about 67% (CAD$60K / USD$45K) more.

Thanks for the numbers. I was just spit balling the number based on past memory or pricing. Yes it a lot bigger gap.

So someone wouldnt be necessarily cross shopping a m2 vs gt4.

In my case the m240i is daily and winter car which would possibly a m2 in the future if a m2 would make sense to be a daily/winter car.

The GT4 RS at least for me would be a summer car.
