Missing bonus range Eco Pro (iDrive 8)

Hi everyone,

I just collected an MY23 230i with iDrive 8.

On ID7 in Eco pro the instrument cluster would show you your bonus range possible based on your current driving.

However this doesn’t seem to be available on the ID8 models? I’m not super bothered if it isn’t but would be nice to know if I’m just looking in the wrong place.

It tells me.when I turn off the car. In the goodbye message before you exit

I have only seen that info when I turn the car off after it has been in Eco or EcoPro.

Says something like: "XX miles gained on this trip". Usually states "0" miles gained!

What's Eco? Honestly, I can't seem to average better than 17MPG no matter what mode I'm in, and I'm not even going over 4k RPM yet.

Shiiiit, I wish that was the problem. I could be in EcoPro with it just in drive and still not get great mileage. Now, admittedly, this has been mostly "city" driving. I'm heading up to Idaho to buy Mega Millions tix in a bit, so I'll see how she does on the highway for a few hundred miles.

Happy to report that ol girl averaged 34mpg on the highway today after about a 260 mile round trip to Idaho and back.

My last trip (60) miles was running 34 mpg with a mixture of motorways & a roads. Got a 400 mile trip to Scotland on Sunday, that will be fun.

I see yeah that’s better than I’m getting and you’ve got a 240 haha. Did you find it improved after break in?

A little improvement, wasn’t paying to much attention to mpg’s as I’ve recently had a lot of short commutes / lot of traffic which would hammer the figures. Also, didn’t follow break in to the letter, was enjoying myself too much!

Ha! I think I have gained ONE mile since taking delivery! Seems I get better MPG in Comfort than in either of the ECO settings...
