I wasn’t complaining, but the fact you interpreted it as such is ironic. I know how adaptive dampers work. Of course it can’t change the spring rates. My point was the F87 M2CS which is the best handling and riding M2 has them. They didn’t have to give it adaptive dampers but they did so because it helped with the cars performance.

Yeah, I agree. Ultimately it's important to understand that one setting of the suspension might have the best complete tuning as a whole system but the option to stiffen or loosen up the damping is only a good thing. Especially for those of us who live in places with a hard winter freeze and shit roads.

One other thing to add to this is that no matter what the setting, Comfort, Sport or Sport+, they are "adaptive" and are constantly monitoring the road surface and making multiple adjustments in real time.

THE ADAPTIVE M SUSPENSION:
01 Electronically controlled shock absorbers
02 Stepless adjustment of damping forces via electro-magnetic valves
03 Damping of front and rear axles independently adjustable
04 Less wheel and body movement compared to standard suspension
05 Wider track, higher camber

This is a great article outlining all the features, Driving pleasure through precision: the Adaptive M Suspension.

Good find! I've been thrilled with the adaptive air suspension in my Macan GTS, whereas on the Stinger I had I could barely tell the difference. I'll be curious to see how it is on the G87.

The reviews of the G87 M2 won’t be bad, they will all be good in general. When was the last time BMW received consistently bad reviews for anything M related???

I mean the whole review process of cars by big press/Tv is BS! I’d rather any personal YouTube reviews from a somewhat independent enthusiast.

You can bet all the big magazines and shows are going to gush all over the G87.

That's like saying i've driven a 959 on the Nurburgring (I parked one when I worked for Porsche in high school lol).

The F87 is the one. Throwback to more analog times. Though it's not a true analog, it's lighter and better looking. Doesn't come off as a computer game.
Can't imagine it will be better on a road course.

The F87C last M2 built in Deutschland. Who knows if the build quality is the same. The build quality of the F87C was truly excellent. So tight.

I would possibly consider this over a G87, but it would more costly for very similar performance. https://www.pcarmarket.com/auction/2020-bmw-m2-cs/

Edit, at least it is an attractive shade of blue, Misano Blue.
