Wow did BMW just increase the price of 240i second time this year??
Wow did BMW just increase the price of 240i second time this year??
I know they were increasing prices Jan 1 but I thought it was only $1000. But I just checked and the 240i RWD looks to be up 2k from last year to $49,100 and xdrive up same amount $51,100? I believe last year it was 47k and 49k right? (away from home and my paperwork) So that means the price for '23 RWD is same as last year's xdrive base?? Or was it always 2k increase since Jan 1?? Base M240i xDrive was $49,900 in 2022. As of Jan 1st the price has been increased to $50,900.
I know because I got screwed. Ordered in Nov and allocation came through in the first week of Jan. |

I softly and politely demurred (I would have been OK with splitting the difference) and my salesperson & dealer let it go. They had me redo the "contract" (was it really a contract if I had to redo it?) changing only the msrp. I'm thinking of "tipping" the salesperson a few $100s? |

The website automatically adds the illuminated M Trim option, which I believe has been standard (not optional) since at least September.
It is a bit confusing for sure. |

Probably true.
The other day I offered a gratuity to a walmart worker, and was refused. "I can't take that." I guess wm figures its workers are paid too much? But really - if I were to sneak $$$ in an unmarked envelope on the salesperson's desk? If asked about it I'd say "I have no idea where that came from." |
