Will Individual paint be available for the new G87 M2

Hey guys. Sorry if it's been mentioned, but will Individual paint be available for the new M2? My sales consultant believes it's not available for the 2 series.

No, it is unavailable. It probably will not arrive prior to the LCI.

Never available for the f87 generation either. The only one I know was done for Michael Fux, the car collector that had an Austin yellow M2. https://gtspirit.com/2017/03/21/mich...000-plus-msrp/

BMW has never given their lowest rung M cars much options. Think of the 1M and F87 M2 with limited colors and only one (or two) interior options (and even then not even the color of the leather but just the stitching). The previous M2 didn’t even have an option for the carbon roof. So if you view the options of the new M2 in relation to the M3/4/5, it may seem lacking, but if you compare it to its previous generations, it actually has grown in options. Either way, unsure if and when individual paint will be offered… likely not any time soon

Its never available at launch to manage launch demand probably in a year then lci the following year to keep demand going. I am waiting for individual and might wait till lci we will see.

I don’t think m2 will get any individual colours. If BMW wants to sell m4/m3 as much as m2, they need to offer something more in m4/m3 than m2.

M2 getting same motor, maybe even better driving and handling for less price. M3/M4 is getting proper customisation in seats and colours and some inches for extra legroom.

A lot of people will choose m2 over m4 if everything is offered in m2 for less price.

Incorrect, several BMW models have been offered with individual paint at SOP.
