AC Schnitzer UK M240ix
Say hello to my lil' fren! This is, or will be, our new AC Schnitzer demo car. I collected it from "Uncle" Tony Lewis at Berry BMW Croydon on Wednesday. We'll start converting this to AC Schnitzer ACS2 specification in a week or so. Let us know if you'd like to try it when it's done!
On the menu: 20" AC4 flow-formed wheel/tyre set (with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres, natch), AC Schnitzer sports suspension (non-adaptive), our quad sports exhaust with carbon fibre tailpipes, front splitter, boot spoiler elements, roof spoiler, rear bumper protection strip, alloy pedal set and footrest, alcantara and perforated leather sports steering wheel, shift paddle set and maybe, when it warms up a bit, our 420hp performance upgrade (which interestingly makes more torque than the new M2, 600Nm vs 550Nm). Here are some pics of the car on collection day. I'll update this thread as we go along. |

All done, apart from the boot winglets which are back ordered. We'll add those next month. Your thoughts are welcome

Not keen on the wheels, mainly for the fact they are 20’s and over a period of time a bigger tyre cost adds up not to mention the un-sprung weight (unless they are extremely light). Really like the look of the exhaust, do you have some better sound clips than the 20 second YouTube clip. also can you tell us more on the suspension.

The wheels are 11.0kg front and 11.9kg rear, so pretty light for 20". They are flow formed. I'd hazard a guess they are lighter than the 19" 893M that came on the car, but I'd need to check.
We offer a choice of springs only or springs and non-adaptive sports dampers together, which we call sports suspension. For cars with adaptive we supply delete modules with the sports suspension. It works better without it. https://shop.ac-schnitzer.co.uk/susp...ades-978-c.asp I don't have any better sound clips of the exhaust at the moment but will be touring the country with the car in the coming weeks, so maybe you'd like to hear it for yourself? |

Nice. The Cerium Grey trim works better with the black rims. The silver in the stock rims I guess clash to my eyes and loses cohesiveness
The little spoiler(?) on the top of the rear glass... does it really help in any way with the airflow or just decorative? Such a tiny strip I wonder if really worth it. Look forward to updates when you get the winglets installed. I kind of like the new spoiler from AutoID and that new one they are making for the M2 looks nice. Would look nice on your car. |

The roof spoiler is purely decorative, but you'd be surprised how much difference it makes to the overall look of the car by extending the roof line slightly. We've been selling these for many years (decades), going back to the E36, and they still sell well.
