A lot of good advice. Some other pointers...

Short-shift when you think you may be accelerating & turning too aggressively. Higher gears mitigate torque effects to the wheels. Two, leaving the TC on will help prevent oversteer, and it'll give you input situations that cause it to activate; which is good knowledge. However, take that car to an empty, large parking lot and test the limits with TC/DSC off. Try it in gears 1, 2 and 3 (using manual mode if auto). Then, replicate this drill on a rainy day too! This will really give you a sense of YOUR car's limit. Third, you could keep the tire PSI lower, which will up the grip, but I don't think that'll help you learn the limits...it just changes the limit.

Yes, a school will help alot, but only if that's in a high-HP RWD car.

Congrats on the new car. I unloaded my GLI for my BMW and I don't think I'll ever get a FWD car again.

Great thread. I had a BRZ with a turbo and it was lighter than the M2 and had about the same power with the flex fuel tune I had.

Sad to say I never took it to a track and never knew about lift-off in a corner until pretty recently.

I optioned the carbon pack which comes with M Driver's school and will do the PDC so hopefully, both of those will help me learn more about the car. I do plan on doing several HPDEs with this vehicle.
