Are you happy with the springs? Ride quality similar to OEM?

I contacted MSS about not being able to locate the specific kit for the G42 and David replied "this is the SKU code you need 02aBMWMG28", which after further research only lowers the car 10mm.

However, on your website you list 02bBMWMG8x for the G42, which lowers the car up to 35mm.

Do you know why MSS referred me to a different part number from what your website recommends for the same car?

MSS UK and US importer/distributor have 2 different part numbers.

I have sold a few sets of them and installed them in house.
This is the correct one.

Thanks for the clarification.

BTW, is there any reason an xDrive cannot be lowered as much as RWD. I've heard this to be an issue and wondered if that's why MSS pointed me to the part number that only lowers 10mm?

Usually it is because the front shock limitation.
But, I don't know what they are saying only 10mm.

This is the one that I've done. I believe it was at least 1" drop.

Looks great!

Below is the email from MSS and the link from bimmerworld discusses it only being 10mm.

Mine springs should be delivered in this week. I can't wait to drive M240 with MSS

I've got the same message from David about part number of springs. I didn't want to lower my car to much, so 10 mm should be perfect.

I'm anxious to hear your feedback. A 10mm drop doesn't seem like much when I measured it, but then again I'm not a big fan of low cars. Curious how the ride handling and comfort changes, and if it's all good compared to stock I may do the same as you.

Yea, that is weird.
I have sold a few sets on G42 M240 and they have been happy with it.
So far only 1 switched to full coilover, just because he wants to slam the car.
Which I told him that he will have a rubbing issue since the fender flare is a stick on, so can't push the wheel close to fender edge.

Is this set up all the way down in front and 10 mm left in the back?

I have MSS Sport Fully Adjustable finally installed.
They still need have some time to settle but even now:

- ride comfort is similar to OEM. They are not to stiff for me.
- going over sleeping policemen is so much better. The fron of the car is not going down too much so there is no risk to scratch. With the OEM sometimes there was a problem
- during accelerating car is very stable and it's not lifting the nose even with almost 500bhp under the hood
- cornering - OEM susspension was quite good but MSS is perfect for me. I feel much more confident in corners.
- and it's so quite. No thump sound at all

I will write an upadate after suspension will settle and I will bring my car for checking.

I don't know what's going on across the pond, but if you drive over a sleeping policeman in the U.S. you'll get shot!
