Yeah.... I've contemplated hunting down an hea that's pretty close to my spec, but then once I realized changing even 1 spec would cause significant aftermarket costs to compensate (not to mention it's freezing where I live and no hea has heated steering wheel) I decided to hold out to save a few bucks in the long run.

Just got a notification from my dealer that the official US launch date for the M2 is April 8 and that my HEA car will be held until then.

Steering wheel matte carbon is another cost by itself though. I was going to do wheels anyway - but yeah - definitely will experience losing some dollars. I probably would have ordered carbon buckets eventually but honestly they're not very comfortable so I could care less if I don't have them. I don't quite understand why they're electric anyway. |

Yep! Posting this screenshot here since this is only truly relevant for HEA cars.

But...they'll all be sold. For those of us who "bought" the HEA vehicle, we'll take delivery starting 4/8. |

Game T_U_D and anyone else that works at BMW/has a crystal ball!
Do you think the first wave of allocations will arrive by the release date? I知 scheduled for week 13 production (3/13), and am cautiously optimistic I値l squeeze in close to that date, as I知 in Houston. |

My best guess for the earliest delivery would be the last week of April. That is if everything goes your way. The second week of May seems like a more reasonable timeframe. Though, Port Galveston is the first port of call from the Mexico port so that is definitely in your favor. All just a guesstimate. |

Going to go out on a limb and predict the embargo on reviews will be lifted on April 4th using deductive reasoning. The G80/2 launch date was March 13th, 2021 which was a Saturday. The embargo on them was lifted on March 9th which was a Tuesday. G87 launch is April 8th which is also a Saturday and April 4th is the Tuesday before launch. Again, this is just a guesstimate. We're so close, this forum is going to blow up again.

The press best get to driving then! Of course, the G87 event has not been held yet. BMW recently held a press event for Z4 LCI. Edit, for those that do not know, Johnny Lieberman is a journalist with Motor Trend, on Spike’s Car Radio and host of the inEVitable podcast. Last edited by T_U_D; 03-02-2023 at 02:02 PM.. |
