Programmable memory buttons idrive 8?

One of my favorite features of idrive 7 is that you can use the preset buttons to shortcut any screen in the infotainment. It’s geniuses and every car should have it. I have a 2023 M240 on order ( coming from a 2020 M340) I see those buttons have been removed. However, I am hoping they have an alternative solution in the new iDrive. Does anyone know if there is?

You have 8 programmable shortcuts in iDrive8. You can access that screen by either swiping down from the top of the screen or using pressing up on the controller knob. To program the shortcuts, either hold down on the icon/app or press the option button to add the shortcut.
