How do you know of a dealership has an allocation

Oh I may not have mentioned it but the guy I talked to earlier today did mention the cars have not been released to sell/deliver yet and wouldn't be until April 12.

The other salesman didn't come out and say the M240i couldn't be had with the 6-speed but he did bring up the M2 that could be had with a 6-speeed manual in a polite way that didn't shine a bright light on my lack of model and model optioning knowledge.

No I'm wanting the M2 although I'm back and forth. Just not used to dealing with the different circumstances of buying a M2 vs. the other cars I have bought.

Also, I really prefer to buy an existing car vs. ordering one especially when the ordered car's delivery date may be months away...

But I think I'll get there. Just had an email from a distant dealer's GM offering to help me. We'll see.

Oh, and from a 25 miles or so distant car dealer (not a BMW dealer either) I got a $38,000 cash offer for my 2022 BMW 230i. That's via email subject to how well the car checks out.

You can probably find a HEA but you will have to settle for ZB or BG with carbon roof. Manual and auto options are out there.

In the end I feel like that is the way it will play out for me.

I have no problem with a car in either color. My 230i is BG and the car looks nice. Also I built a M2 in BG. I optioned the M2 pretty spartan and of course elected to not choose the carbon roof. But I did choose a 6-speed manual transmission.

But ZB or BG, carbon roof or no carbon roof I would be ok with.

However, I'm less certain if I would accept an automatic equipped car. If the choice comes up I'll have to see what the various conditions are, in short if I turn the automatic down what are the chances of me getting a car with a 6-speed.
