There's no question this car is enjoyable. We have a dozen professional reviews to corroborate that statement. What we don't have is folks saying it's better than the '21 M2CS.

That's kind of like griping the 992 base Carrera isn't better than the 991.2 GTS. It wasn't part of the recipe.

Basically every time a reviewer sat in the ZF8 their eyes lit up and they said it felt like a different car. This is primarily a weekend/evening fun car. Won’t track it likely. Won’t be my DD. Yes I’ve read all of the pages regarding how BS the 4th gear test was, the comparison to the F87 4th gear, ratios, etc. Just looking to discuss your overall opinion
100% No. Have you watched all the reviews?
I fully plan on keeping this car, so the value of the Manual is invaluable plus I already have a few Autos in my collection and find them not nearly as exhilarating as my manuals. One of those Autos is a blistering fast Tesla 3 Performance and I find that car utterly boring.

Yes, I’ve watched every review. Like I said, the sticking point has been the reviewer’s expressions the second they swap over to the ZF8 from the manual. Anyways, likely sticking with the 6MT

To me that’s to be expected. These Engines are designed to pair with the ZF8 and computers will always be faster than humans. I’m over 0-60 times and just want an engaging experience. To each their own of course. Plus if one doesn’t like it you can always upgrade to the Comp or whatever they’re going to do when it comes out and that’ll surely be Auto only.
I support your Manual inclination.

My plan is to have the manual launch car, and buy the CS version so I get one of each.

I am right there with you. Up until the reviews I was all in on the manual. For me the pros for the manual still outweigh the negatives, but it has me second guessing…if the manual was the biggest draw for me would I be better suited for a GT350, Blackwing or Type R. Obviously completely different cars but it has me thinking.

I'm crossing my fingers that the CS is worth getting, and then it will be the choice between the CS and a targa gts (but I can also get that as. Manual though)
