Guys what is this piece? I notice in photos some M2's have it and then in others they dont.

Semantics but he was right. Without the sensor, we wouldn't know for sure (since Adaptive Cruise is still an option to add if you have the 8AT). The sensor confirms the car is equipped w/ the 8AT 100%.
