Hey guys,
I put down a deposit for a G87 M2 today. It is a black on black 8speed. There is a Brooklyn Grey M2 as well in the show room but in 6speed. ( I already have a M2C stick shift )
I prefer the grey in auto but that is not happening. So what would you get?

I own two other manual cars and would still take the BG 6MT if adding another car. The G87 does look so good in BSM though and I like it better than BG, but I'm just not buying a car with an auto trans if the car is for me.

I had a black car once and never again. Unless it's a garage queen, I will never touch a black or even a dark color car again. Too much work to keep clean and swirls away.

And that desire to keep it clean just slowly puts scratches on the car, ultimately leading to more polishing and thinning out the clear coat. I won’t buy another black car either. Even metallic black is not immune.

Have to add while black cars look good that's the only color of car I have not owned. (My H-D Sportster was black, but there was a heck of a lot less sheet metal to keep looking nice.)

My other car is a 2023 JCW (Island Blue Metallic) with a 6-speed. My ZB M2 is a 6-speed. Doesn't bother me both are manuals. (The M2 will replace the BG M230i which is an automatic.)

So I would lean towards the BG M2 with 6-speed manual.

Black is a bad choice IMO.

Black is by far and away the best color on the car. However, If a manual is available, I'm buying the manual. So in this case, get the 6 speed and if you can't stand to look at it, you can always throw on a matt ppf or even a wrap.
