Looks like at that price it's a close competitor to Active Autowerke catted DP that also comes with a no CEL guarantee. I am loving my AA DP and
looking forward to your MST review.

If I'm not mistaken, people are having to weld the AA down pipe due to a slight leak correct?

I'm curious if the MST downpipe will have a better fit?

I didn't and had no issues. I think it was just one member who had to slightly bend the pipe to fit it and that created a leak that he later fixed by having it welded.

I know everyone buys the AA downpipe, but I'm glad there's now another option because MST offers the same no CEL guarantee and a two-year warranty on the catalytic converter. This is a review of how well the MST downpipe matches the Fi exhaust catback system. I haven't personally installed the MST downpipe alone. It's worth mentioning that my car also has a Dinan air intake.

Recently, I installed the MST 6" 400-cell catted downpipe on my car, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The installation process was straightforward, and the fitment was great. It perfectly matches my Fi exhaust catback. The build quality, especially the welding, is very impressive.

The sound is perfect. It's noticeably louder and deeper compared to the OEM downpipe. I would say it's about 40% louder, but not too loud to be obnoxious. The exhaust note has a nice growl to it and really adds to the driving experience. However, what I really appreciate is the improvement in the driving feel. I can actually feel some power gained, especially in the mid to high range. The throttle response is more immediate, and the car feels more eager to accelerate.

Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the MST 6" 400-cell catted downpipe. It's a great upgrade for anyone looking to improve the sound and performance of their car. The fit and finish are excellent, and the power gains are noticeable. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for an aftermarket downpipe. I hope our DME can be unlocked soon. It's hard to imagine how amazing the complete Stage 2 tune can be in terms of the improvements and experience it can bring to the car.
