M2 Colors

Late last week, my dealer called and said a few people backed out and I was on deck to order my car. I was all prepared to send the build code to the dealer and my wife said "I don't want another grey car". I showed her the other colors and she agreed Brooklyn Grey would be her favorite, but we have a Chalk Macan and she'd like something else.

I wasn't expecting to pop up so fast since originally the dealer said it would be like a year. Based on what I was reading, it sounded like custom paints or more paint options might be available next year. Is there any more information on that? My dealer agreed to keep my on the list and go to the next person with the understanding I wanted to see what would happen with paint color offerings.

Like I said, I read about it but was curious if there was additional information not in the forum. Close, but no cigar my friend. My dealer actually said individual was an option coming. Dealer could obviously be wrong or they changed their mind. Who knows.

🤣🤣 just messing around man. Idk anything about new colors. I have TR ordered and decided not to wait for MY24 because of a most likely price hike

Unless I misremember, a BMW rep was interviewed by BMWBLOG, and specifically said "no individual paint next year."

I don't always believe what a dealer says, their job is to keep you on the hook. When a BMW rep states a fact, I'm trust them over a dealer.

Yes, it's possible BMW changes their mind. But it's unlikely, and I won't postpone a purchase waiting for it.

Anyone ordering now may end up in MY24 anyway, especially if they are ordering carbon. The MY23 allocs have been painfully slow, and the lines seem to be long.

They arent changing in mid-stream. If you have a VIN now, you are MY23.

I believe if you have a production number now, you are MY23.

This is also what I have heard. I currently have my production number as if 2 weeks ago.

Right. I meant there was (is?) a pretty long delay between dropping your deposit at a dealer and getting to status 112*. People are waiting a long time for allocs, depending on the dealer.

Or is it status 87? I'm not sure exactly what step assigns the prod number.

111/112 is production number.

Don’t you guys forget, the term individual is a bmw program offering. We should also find out when there would be added paint to the palette that is not part of the individual program.

Meh, I am beyond over it. Some might eventually figure it out? If not someone else will get annoyed by repetitive questions.

Come July allocations, September production should land individuals with a MY24.

Some people think they know it all and act like they are the moderators. Get over it.

The dealer did say it would most likely be a 2024 model but of course was willing to hold onto my deposit money. So there is that.

And some just think they know it all and their way is the only and right way. To make matters worse, those same people litter threads posting their rhetoric in hopes the people will drink their Kool-aid...

Yes I have always been open minded and take and learn what's best for me. Change is good. Some people spend too much time in the G87 forum and need to explore what's out there.
