My car has been "at the port" in New Jersey for 2 weeks presumably waiting to have a few carbon fiber bits installed. Had I known it would add weeks to the delivery, I'd have skipped the overpriced M performance stuff. UGH! Production finished on April 13. Did I say UGH?! If not, UGH!! To put into perspective how close, yet how far, the car has been from me since it left the Grand Pioneer, my dealer is a little more than an hour drive from the port. Let's call it 90 minutes. UGH!!!

Mirror caps and decklid spoiler. And the interior alcantara armrest. Wanted it all installed so the car could go straight to PPF. I learned my lesson. Never again!

What does your CA say? Are the parts in stock?
I know from my conversations that they’re short on a lot of parts at the port right now.
My SM is waiting to hear back from NA on my PIAs. If any aren’t on hand I’m pulling them from my order.

Those carbon parts are probably backordered. Always a risk you run on a very, very new car. For me - the performance suspension is a carry over from the G80/G82, and I called multiple BMW dealership part departments to make sure the parts were available at the warehouses in North America, so hopefully I'm just on a labor backlog.

That was my thought exactly, I got mp front lip, side skirt, mirrors, deck lid spoiler, door sills and rear bumper attachment. And these options I added them when my car went into Ready for transport, so I expect a delay.

After a week of being "at the port" (Oxford VPC), the only update I managed to get from my CA was that a work order has been open on the car since 5/30 (2 days after the ship dropped it off). I'm assuming that is the M Perf. Suspension being installed. The bright side is that the car is assigned to a truck carrier and is allegedly departing from the VPC today. System did not update before end of business, so will have to check tomorrow or Monday to see if that held true.

Rooting for you brother. Car will look and handle great out of the gate. It’ll be worth the wait.
