Yellow DRL Module not working.

Left side of my DRL light has stop working.
I have two notifications,
Dipped Bean left failure
Side/daytime lights failure

I currently have the Yellow DRL lights installed.

Has anyone experience this problem?

Sounds like a bad module. Did you contact whoever you bought it from they would probably just replace it for you as I would assume whatever they charge you has some failure cost factored in.

Are they the ones from iND, or a different vendor? I assume they are the BMW labeled DRL's?

I switch back to my BMW original DRL. All faults gone/ back to normal.

Yellow DRL are from Motosport Plus

Likely cause was from BMW new software update or a faulty Module

Anyone that’s has the yellow DRL. Not recommend updating the IDrive.

The engineer in me wonders how a software update cause a LED module to go bad. Sounds like you got a bad module that they should replace.

Well, if they're not BMW parts the software update might be looking for a specific chip on the board that isn't there and deactivates power to the module. The only way to be sure would be to fit them to a BMW without the update and see if they work.

I had assumed it was a BMW part since it shows “BMW”, but I could be wrong.

Swap left/right. It’s just a bad chip.
