White Haze Spot on New 2023 G80 BSM

Have this hazy round spot on my hood. Car has only been washed once since pickup. Hand wash only. No wax. Just polish.

Took some Adams Polish with a microfiber to it and did nothing.

I have an appointment set for ceramic coating in a couple weeks so I'm guessing the paint correction will take car of it but still curious what people here think.

Any ideas what caused it?

Any quick / easy way for me to handle now so my OCD can chill out for a couple minutes?

(Hard to get a photo of it in my garage. The white haze circle is in the middle. All the other noise in the photo is just the ceiling of the garage reflecting.)

Bad polish is my guess, would just point it out to the paint correction guy and let them take care of it.

Yeah, experienced detailer should be able to clear that up.

Haha. I've done literally every type of work / repair you can imagine on a car. But for some reason I will never touch paint myself. If I can't get it with a spray and microfiber, I leave it to the pros.

"No wax. Just polish."
This is backwards of what I was always taught for swirl-free protection. Polishing is abrasive, and wears the clearcoat some even if done lightly. Wax is the protectant, so that crap doesn't stain the paint.

You are correct. I was referring to detail spray polish. Not compound.

Realized I never closed this thread so jumping back into say a quick visit to a detail spot and it was easily removed.
