If it updates you can't tune right? Don't they block it or the DME can't be cracked...

If it updates you lose the tuning you already had, and the DME has to go back to FEMTO to be unlocked again.

There are several of us in the UK with ID8 2022/07 that are finding that the car keeps loosing external connection eg status to MyBMW app & traffic information. The only way we can resolve this to do the iDrive reset by pressing the volume button for 30seconds while the engine is running. Have you come across this problem and, if so, is it sorted with 202/11?

I didn't have this problem before so I can't tell if anything was done about it.

Does anyone know what the previous version was for iD8?

I’m currently stuck on 07/2022.50 and haven’t received the 11/2022 update yet. Wondering if I’ll have to go to the dealer to force the update.

Log on to your online ConnectedDrive account, navigate to the Page that shows all the services you have or can add, find Remote Software Upgrade, click Details,scroll down to Release Notes, expand and click ‘here’, you will then be presented with version your car should be (not what if currently is)

I just installed this today - 11/2022.60
My car is MY2023 with iDrive 8
Did not notice any significant changes. There's a blurb on the screen about some eco-mode stuff - like that's exactly why I bought this car

Wanted to close the loop on this thread, a few months ago I finally got an update notification on my app and car. Since then I got a second update. to the OTA system is working again for me and I never had to go to a dealer.
