Leather care
Our Vernasca leather is not very soft compared to Merino or others. But, I found putting on some leather conditioner at least makes it feel smoother and smells good. I have some old "BMW Leather Care Lotion." Now the closest of theirs I can find is https://www.amazon.com/BMW-83-19-2-3.../dp/B00FPTMLLM. There are better prices if you look. There are of course many others.

Since it's a coated leather, I don't see how conditioner will soften it, but I do use Adam's leather conditioner since I have it.

I don't put any products on the leather of my cars. Just wipe it with a clear, fragrance free detergent every couple of weeks, specially on the center arm rest - where grease collects and is exposed to the sun, which will cook your leather.

I think some conditioners still penetrate surface pores to condition the leather, even when coated. This is of course assuming the leather isn't fully sealed i.e. zero pores to penetrate into; I highly doubt this is the case because leather still needs to breathe somehow.

Check out the detailing section, there's a few discussions on this.
Gyeon and Colourlock (who manufactures the BMW products) are some of the most popular. |

Ah leather care. No car topic is more full of superstition, religious beliefs, and well-it-always-works-for-me anecdotes.
Just treat leather the true old-fashioned way, pee on it. (No really, it was a thing, look it up.) I'm just snarking, I really have no strong Opinions about leather care. |

I’ve used Chemical Guys product on both of our 240 and very pleased with results during past 3 years. One is an Arizona car and the leather does suffer from the extremely low humidity without periodic treatment. YMMV.

Anti uv / ir tint all the way around will help too and is a must in the desert imo.

Our car is garbage kept and we are gone during the microwave months. I love our home and everything Arizona offers but summers back east are far more enjoyable at this stage of our lives. YMMV.
