X3: Need help with Passenger Side Hole

I have an X3. A small button fell into the hole (or not sealed crevice?) between the side panel and car carpet floor covering. It is next to the front passenger seat. Any idea how to retrieve it? I have tried automotive pickup tools, none of them works. Wondering any impact to the car? such as engine pan? Thank you!

Pull up the door sill trim and try to pull up the edge of the carpet. How important is a small button?

Effect on the engine pan? Seriously?

If serious, it's 100% nothing to worry about, it will not make its way into the engine.

Try using a vacuum cleaner that has a narrow nozzle and suck it out of that opening.

Remove the plastic trim and you'll get access but if you're uncomfortable (which by the sound of the post it's fair to say you are) just leave it be. Unless that button was made of caesium chloride it's not going to harm anyone.
