JB4, WOW

The best way to start your relationship with your G87 is to date it for the first 1100 miles and do the break-in service and then do yourself justice by marrying her and getting a JB4.

It is PHENOMENAL, the car really comes to life afterwards.

This is how the car is meant to be, in my opinion, and yes warranty can be an issue but life is too short to worry about that right now LOL.

for reference only have the tune on for now, getting an intake now and mid pipe, and possibly catted downpipes.

That's how it felt when I went JB4 on my F80. Night and day difference. Can't wait to feel the bump when I get used to my G87.

Problem is there is no going back. I’ve settled on Map 2 and have run a couple HPDE already and I can’t imagine not having that power on the front straight. Eating up almost everything.

MAD catted down pipes and intake lying wait for me. Will do miss soon. Not going to bother with the muffler.

I have a JB4 install question. How important is the External wastegate connection for running maps 1 or 2? I read somewhere that it wasn't as important.

I thought it was needed as it still modifies the boost so you need the wastegate connection so it holds to the specified boost.

Either way, had a JB4 on my supra and it was nuts. With the custom "tune" (from a regarded JB4 person for the B58) I was at 470ftlbs tq and well honestly I suspect ~420hp but I was heatsoaked at the dyno since I ran 3 stock runs first because I was dumb. (it reported 379 on map6 and 372 on the stock map)
