Has anyone figured out how to reset the service indicator after an oil change on 2023 G42 models with idrive 8?

May be different in the US but in the UK if the service is done by a BMW dealer then the iDrive service history and the service indicator update automatically within an hour or two of the service being completed.

I might be wrong but I think OP is referring to resetting it if your change the oil yourself.

From what I have researched, you can NO LONGER reset the oil life indicator in iDrive 8. You can in iDrive 7 by long pressing the BC button but the option to reset oil life has been removed in iD8.
To reset the oil life you will need an OBD adapter and BimmerLink. Sucks… but most of us enthusiasts and DIY folk will end up needing this anyway to code and run diagnostics… |
