This is interesting seeing an automatic launch. This is probably discussed somewhere else too so feel free to quote me on anything I am getting wrong.

-Launch control revs up to 2.5k RPM vs manual 3.5k RPM
-Gearing is obviously different from the 8 speed auto vs 6 speed manual.
-6 speed manual goes up to 32mph in 1st, and 2nd gear top speed is around 62mph.
-In the auto, you need to be in 3rd gear to hit 60mph

Could possibly launch the auto M2 in 2nd gear. While I never tried it the word was for the best *launch* with the Dodge Hellcat fitted with an automatic was to put the transmission into manual shift mode and put it into 2nd gear then floor the pedal. Then while in 2nd gear immediately move the shift lever to the right back into automatic shift mode and let the engine/transmission control up shift the transmission.

The only reason to launch a manual M2 in 2nd gear would be if one hates the clutch...

I found this video which does some explaining around the 20 minute mark.

They don't actually show a test launch though lol.

In a manual, to get launch control, MDM has to be enabled, and you can set the M Traction Control setting between 2-3 depending on the conditions. They say in the video that 2.5-3k rpm is the sweet spot to launch it, but I feel in the manual, you need to be higher around 3.5k rpm.

MDM is one mode. Traction control settings are enabled with DSC off.
Got it, thanks for the confirmation! Sorry I didn't see that above.

The manual G87 does 3.88 0-60, and there will probably be better times once more people take delivery
