I am also using stock rims for winter (and probably first summer) so I just got tires. BMW dealer was able to get just tires for 2k.

Exactly my plan as well, so I just got the tires only. They were not cheap but my initial order from Tire Rack was the same cost, just over $2300. I'm already trying to plot out my Summer set up!

I am currently shopping winter tires. I will only be doing a limited amount of driving on them so I don't want to spend a fortune. Vredestein Wintrac Pro are available in 275/35R19 and 275/30R20. Can I put a 275 on the stock rear wheels?

I had the same q about the 275. I was told it should be fine but asked the tire rack guy if I could return them if they didn't fit and he said no. Much cheaper than the pirelli tires.

Rear rims are 10.5 so wonder if they can be stretched.

I'll be giving these a try for dirt cheap. Still have the get the fronts from TireRack, though.

My buddy already had a set of these delivered for his M3 and they are indeed brand new. However, they were manufactured in 2018.

According to some cursory Google searching and the installer he spoke with at Discount Tire, should still be perfectly fine for 1-2 seasons. And at that price, might as well burn 'em up.
this is awesome. i just grabbed a pair. for this price its totally worth the dice roll and potentially save a grand on the rears. thanks!!!!

Generally, 275s would be fine on a 10.5 rim, as long as you don't mind the look. (Ignoring clearances and fitments, of course. But the tire itself will seat properly on the wheel.)
