BMW m340i - CPO or Brand New

Looking into my first BMW and thought m340i would be a good choice as its luxury and reliable at the same time due to having b58.

However, i am planning to keep the car maximum 4 years to avoid high maintenance fee over the years. Im trying to utilize service warranty to avoid maintenance cost as much as possible and willing to sell the car to get an EV in the future.

Therefore, would you recommend getting CPO or brand new? Also, would m340i hold their value after 4 years?
My maximum budget for lease/financing is $800CAD per month.

In the US CPO cars are sold with the balance of the factory warranty - 4 years, 50,000 miles from date first -laced in service, followed by an additional year with unlimited mileage. So - if Canada does something similar, the sweet spot might be to look for a CPO car that was placed in service a year ago. Then you just need to decide if any of the maintenance pre-payment plans make sense for you.

I like this approach, especially if it is a low mileage vehicle.

I would agree. If I wasn’t so biased towards the 2020 model this is the advice I would give. If you can live with a newer model and the mild hybrid this is the route to take, up until the 2023 LCI, which they utterly ruined.

For me if it's an MP I'm looking for a 3 year old with sub-30k miles at a solid deal, hold it for 25-30k miles then onto the next. Full-M buy brand new.
